Who we are

Our mission is to make and grow disciples of Christ for God's glory.

It doesn’t matter where you come from, what language you speak, what story you have - we hope to meet you soon.

Everything we do is centred on Jesus Christ, whose life, death and resurrection is written about in the Bible. We truly believe that once you know God, you can’t help but realise that all of life is meant to be about living for him.

We believe that church is more than just our service on a Sunday, it’s about family. For that reason our members love spending time together, meeting in smaller groups during the week or just catching up over coffee.

MEET OUR TEAM

Rev. Grant de Villiers
Rector

Grant is married to Laura and together they have three children. Grant loves serving as a minister in the south-west of Sydney as he gets to meet people from many different cultures. He has served at Good Shepherd Anglican since 2018 and as a hobby he has been learning (very slowly!) to speak Arabic.

Dalal Elachi
Arabic Chaplain

Dalal was born in Lebanon in an Antiochian Orthodox family. She miraculously survived the Lebanese war in 1976, but lost her father and uncle. Dalal immigrated to Australia when she was 18 years old and became a mother of four. Her children are married and have children who she enjoys spending time with. Dalal was saved by grace in 1994. She loves God and people, studying the Bible in groups, evangelism, and walks in nature.

Stephanie Abdul
Community Chaplain

Steph is married to Tamim, and together they have two boys. She joined Greenacre Anglican as a community chaplain with Anglicare in 2024. She loves sharing Jesus' love with those around her in words, prayer and action. Steph also enjoys spending time with her family, going for walks, and reading a good book with a cup of tea or coffee.

“Jesus said: “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give you.”
