In the Bible, ministry is just another word for ‘service’. Christians are not simply called for salvation, but they are called to serve their heavenly Father, and to serve him by serving each other. So, as Paul says, we are equipped for ‘works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up’ (Eph 4:12).
